The Story
Swad is a family-run South Indian restaurant that opened on January 22 / 2023. It was 16 years of culinary journey and dream to open a restaurant in Canada and share authentic South Indian food and hospitality with people.
South India is known for its rich heritage and cultural variety. This southern region of India is a paradise for peaceful places and it is also home to its own unique and colorful cuisine. We would like to join our guests on this incredible stupendous culinary journey to some of the best hand-picked dishes of this region. Sadya, an essential component of South India’s culinary culture, is known for an array of curries and rice meals, which are traditionally served on banana leaves. These exotic dishes have been honed over time and passed down through generations for us to savor. South India’s authentic food has incredible taste and unbelievable flavours, some of the best spices in the world and the freshest ingredients. We utilize fresh, locally sourced ingredients for our dishes.
